Just the other day, my friend introduced me to this great new shopping site called www.DubLi.com – my, oh my.

 

I cannot even begin to tell you the awesomness of this site. If you like eBay, then you will most definitely like DubLi. Similar to eBay, it is an online auction shopping site, yet the difference is that it sells brand new products, so you wouldn’t have to try and wash out someone else’s sweat patch from the T-shirt you bought. In addition to this, most products come with a full manufacturer’s warranty which is sweet! But the thing I like most about DubLi is this concept of reverse auction. Even sounds impressive doesn’t it? I sure was impressed!

 

Reverse auction works by displaying one starting price for the item in question. All the starting prices displayed for the product are usually the cheapest price you will find on the internet for that product. The actual price is concealed until a Credit is placed, which is a form of bidding. Credits are worth 80 cents each and are to be purchased in order to participate in the sites auctions, and they act like virtual money you use whilst shopping at DubLi. With every Credit placed towards the item, the price decreases by 25 cents. So really, if there was something you really wanted, then you would want as many Credits placed towards your most wanted. When you place a Credit, the current price of the item will be displayed to you, allowing you the choice between buying it or waiting for the price to drop lower. But you have to be careful of waiting too long, otherwise someone else might snatch it from you instead.

 

Sounds like fun right? This unique and interesting way of shopping online had me going back for more. I know the concept might appear strange and totally foreign to people who are used to sites like eBay or just regular shopping sites, but at DubLi, you end up saving SO much money, the likes which you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The average amount you can save on items are at a regular 60% off the price of an item!! Sometimes, you can even save up to 90%! Think of the infinite possibilities ladies!!! This site is just begging our inner shopoholic to go crazy! The other great thing about the Credits is the fact that they don’t expire, so no need to bid on things you don’t really want just to use the credits up!

 

One downfall I found of the site is that it lacks a lot of things to buy. Gift cards and electronics are a frequent item sold on the site, but when it comes to things like clothes or fashion accessories, there isn’t much of that at all. If they could perhaps work on that one part of the site, I can guarantee a greater amount of loyal followers.
